Update on COJ Warming Centers - Legends Center NOT Open Tonight

The National Weather Service Jacksonville is forecasting low temperatures in the 30s and 40s this weekend. As such, the Warming Center Contingency Plan will not be activated since the threshold of 27 degrees or colder will not be met – and thus the Legends Center will not be open overnight on Saturday.

Winter Storm Response Update: January 22, 10:15am

As wintry precipitation from the winter storm wraps up Wednesday morning, icy conditions are still possible on roadways. The National Weather Service Jacksonville has issued a Freeze Warning tonight with wind chill temperatures expected to be in the 20s.

City of Jacksonville Warming Centers to Open Through Saturday Morning

The National Weather Service Jacksonville has issued a Freeze Warning for Monday night. They have high confidence of an extended duration of dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills tonight through Thursday. Nightly freezes and dangerous wind chills will remain through Saturday.
